St. Teresa's Academy is located on a beautiful, college-like campus in the heart of the Brookside/south Plaza neighborhoods. The Academy’s commitment to excellence can be felt with a visit to this beautiful, 20-acre campus.
New to the campus is the Windmoor Center, housing the serene 150-seat Chapel of St. Joseph and four multi-functional high-tech classrooms. The Windmoor Center uses sustainable energy to heat and cool the building through the use of geothermal wells located under the building. In addition, solar panels mounted to the top of the Goppert Center saves the Academy in yearly electrical fees and helps eliminate CO2 pollution from the environment. Caring for the environment is a fundamental charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
The McDonnell Family Sports Complex features an eight-lane, all-weather track composed of the same surface material used in the last nine Olympics. The track and synthetic-turf field accommodate the school’s many sports teams in addition to physical education classes, summer camps, and other athletic events.
The historic Music and Arts Building (M&A), built in 1909, is listed on the national Register of Historic Places and is home to numerous classroom, a unique circular auditorium, and the school’s Commons area. Donnelly Hall, located across the quad and similar in architecture to M&A, houses administrative offices, art studios, science labs, and additional classrooms. The up-to-date gymnasium and weight room are contained in the Goppert Center, which overlooks the beautiful track and field.
