Tryouts for the 2019-20 spring season begin
St. Teresa’s Academy announced the hiring of Emily Welch, July 11, 2019 as the sixth head coach in program’s 33-year history.
Welch spent several years coaching at the club, high school and collegiate ranks. She graduated from Benedictine College in 2008, where she played goalkeeper and played a part in the team’s first trip to the NAIA National Tournament.
Head Soccer Coach Jeremy McElduff resigned, June 3, 2019 after a 17-year tenure with the program. McElduff joined the coaching staff in 2003 as an assistant and was promoted to head coach in 2011. While McElduff was on staff, the Stars compiled a 298-78-6 record, which included nine Missouri State High School Activities Association District Titles and five State Championships. As the head coach, McElduff compiled a 154-32-1 record, which resulted in back-to-back MSHSAA second place finishes in 2013-14, and back-to-back MSHSAA State Championships in 2015-16.
The St. Teresa's Academy soccer team defeated Lee's Summit North, May 22 in the MSHSAA Class 5 Sectional Championship. The 4-1 victory pushed the Stars to 16-5 on the season and into the State Quarterfinal. STA will take on Park Hill High School, May 26 at 6 p.m.
The St. Teresa's Academy varsity and junior varsity soccer teams will compete in the 2018 MO-KAN Challenge, March 24-28 at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. The varsity opens play, March 24 at 1 p.m. vs. Olathe South High School, while the JV takes on Olathe South at 11 a.m. Please follow the links below for complete tournamnet information.
